Cafe Du Nouveau Monde in Montreal

We had a reservation and were on time but had to wait 20 minutes before getting seated.My plate was cold.When told, the waitress took it back and brought it back...even colder.We had a show to get to and advised them before starting. They said it wouldn't be a problem, that they were used to it.We had to leave before dessert and coffee, with our finished but not-so-empty main dishes still on the table, after reminding them we were in a rush...multiple times.

Good food, great service and warm terrace. A wonderful lunch!

This very pleasant café is located at the Theatre du Nouveau monde. The wide terrace is cool and agreeable and the staff is very friendly. The choices of food are typical of a bistro. It is very tasty. I had a nice quiche with salad and my friend a vegy burger he liked. My dessert was not as good as it sounded but was very well appreciated by my friend. Taste certainly differs from one person to the other. A very agreeable experience all in all

This is my favorite brasserie in Montreal. I often go there for lunch. The food is always excellent. It is a few specials every day plus a menu. I have tried almost everything and everything was good. They have a good selection of beers and wines (some by the glass). The service is always friendly and efficient. I shall keep going back!

Very good food. Table d'hôte at $ 32 in the evening. Located in the building of the TNM. Good choice of wine. A stone's throw from Place des Arts.

Nice place. Staff is super nice and helpfull. The food is soooo good. I miss the old salmon tartare recipe though because I don't really like the new one.

Very good food and service. I had the Salmon Tartare. The ambiance is great and the service is fast, especially when you have a play starting at 8 pm. There is no underground parking, but there is parking on the street with parking meters, or you can get there by subway, station Place des arts.

Bistro restaurant in the French, there is a clutter wanted, waiters in a hurry, a table without tablecloths and chairs that are not made for you stay there at night. However the prices are reasonable, the food is good, the wine list varied, etc. Before going or leaving the theater it is a good place to eat with friends.

Resto-Bistro with a lot of atmosphere. Nice place to dine in the entertainment district. French style food. Excellent creme brulee.

Stocked. Friendly service. The good is good. A bit noisy and you have to book in advance the theater nights at the TNM. It is even my favorite place in this quadrilateral where there are few restaurants just a few steps from the Place des Arts and the symphonic house of Montreal.

Great place for good, nite cap, coffee later in the evening. Room on the terrasse.

What a beautiful time passed on June 26, 2019! Whether the service or the food it was extra! Waitresses with a sense of humor and food to lick their fingers. All the guests around us on the terrace were delighting with their respective dishes! Congratulations and see you next time!

Nice place. Very nice staff. Nice setting for a quick lunch. But we do not go for the quantity or the quality of the meals served.

I like their wild mushroom pasta.. but their Table d'hôte choice is poor and limited. Also, when you pay $20+ for lunch in Montreal, you should be leaving there not hungry.. but you leave there still very much hungry, so it's definitely overpriced for the quantity.

Very busy until the crowd suddenly went to the theatre! 7:45 pm seems like arrest time to go. The meal was delicious with including a salad that included green beans!

Great and tasteful food. Fast and friendly service. I came here on the zombie walk night (weekend before Halloween). Even though the place was crowded, the service was really fast and the food was delicious.

We went for two as part of MTL at the table, one of the only restaurants with availability for a Friday night. We were treated to very good service and the food was very good.

Always my default restaurant in the Quartier des Spectacles when I'm there with guests rarely in town. Good food that mixes the Quebec terroir with the restoration of Bistro Français, a fine selection of wines, and desserts to make any gourmet mouth salivate!In 20 years, it remains one of my favorite favorite restaurants! 💚

Just delicious! We are subscribing to the theater and we go there almost every room. In this case, you must arrive early!
